What is ASLF?

A three-day annual event that provides a unique opportunity for a diverse group of college students to delve deeply into the topic of servant leadership with business leaders, community members, and other college leaders from across the state of Arkansas.

How do students receive the opportunity to attend?

College students who are leaders on their respective campuses may be nominated by faculty and staff on campus, such as a professor, Student Government sponsor, or the university president. They may also be nominated by respected leaders in the community, friends of ASLF, and the ASLF student ambassador on their campus. Once a student is nominated, they’ll receive an email with a link to apply. Space is limited, so we recommend getting your application submitted quickly.

Why should you attend aslf?

ASLF gives students the opportunity to look at the life of Jesus from a perspective that urges leaders to know themselves and others with depth, and to bring truth, goodness, and care to the world around them. The event is centered on being in a small group setting where students can learn and grow not just from the speakers and their facilitators, but other college leaders.

How much does the forum cost?

ASLF is $125 plus the cost of transportation to attend. This cost can be covered by the university nominating a student, the student themselves, or there are scholarships available. The $125 covers the hotel room, food, and any activities during the weekend.

What is the schedule for the weekend?

Check-in begins at 4pm on Thursday (Oct. 22) and the first session is at 6pm. Activities conclude by 10pm that evening. Friday morning (Oct. 23) begins at 8am and the day includes morning sessions at the hotel, lunch and a marketplace panel at the Governor’s Mansion, a fun afternoon activity, and dinner at homes across Little Rock. Our evening activities conclude around 10pm. Saturday (Oct. 24) sessions start at 8:30am and the Forum concludes by noon.

where is the forum?

ASLF is at Aloft Hotel in Little Rock. The address is 716 Rahling Road. There is free parking for all hotel guests.

What should i pack?

Students should pack business casual outfits for Thursday and Friday and a pair of jeans to wear with their ASLF shirt on Saturday.
