What did you enjoy most about your ASLF experience?

I loved the community and the way our small group leaders encouraged us. They enabled us to be real and vulnerable with each other. The speakers shared wonderful stories and were honest with us. They gave us good perspective on each of their given careers.

What long term impact on your leadership skills do you see from your time at ASLF?

I have grown in my ability to lead with vulnerability. ASLF really encouraged me to be a light in whatever work/school setting I am in. The speakers gave us good advice on what it looks like to live faithfully and honestly in the work world.

What do you wish you had know before attending ASLF?

I think I would have loved to have known/been prepared to share my story!

Now that you're in the marketplace, what does it mean to you to be a servant leader?

It means to not live for my own selfish ambition. To seek others success before my own and put others ahead of myself. It has looked like being honest and faithful even when it is uncomfortable or doesn't benefit me. Often, it has been willing to be uncomfortable and real with those around me even when it does not further my own desires.
